  2. PRINTGL DESCRIPTION

  4. PrintGL is a shareware pen plotter emulator for MS DOS computers.
  5.  
  6. PrintGL prints an HP-GL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language - HP 7475 subset)
  7. plotfile on a matrix printer. HP-GL is widely supported by graphics programs
  8. including AutoCAD, Generic CADD, MathCAD, SAS, MICROCADAM, Schema, and many
  9. more. PrintGL has native mode drivers for Epson and NEC compatible 9 and 24 pin
  10. dot matrix printers, HP Laserjet, Deskjet, and PaintJet, and IBM 9 and 24 pin
  11. Proprinters, Quietwriter 2 and 3, and LaserPrinter. It will also display plots
  12. with a CGA, EGA, VGA, enhanced VGA, or HGC and output a bit map or GEM .IMG
  13. file.

  15. Even if your graphics program supports your printer, you may find that PrintGL
  16. gives better print quality. PrintGL uses the best graphics modes available for
  17. each printer that it supports. If you need printed graphics output from
  18. personal software, you can output HP-GL and use PrintGL to do the printing.
  19. This gives immediate support to a wide range of printers.

  21. PrintGL Menu Interface (PMI), included with PrintGL, gives you easy access to
  22. PrintGL's many options, and lets you select a list of plotfiles to print.
